Last year, with Deborah Baronas’s first grandchild due, Annamaria Mays Vermeer an Lynda Flewell-Smith got together and crafted a beautiful baby blanket and sent it over.

As per Lynda and Annamaria’s hand-written didactic for the exhibition, they started with a blanket made at the former Morris Mills.

It was naturally dyed with eucalyptus leaves, flower petals, and onion skins by Annamaria.

Lynda embroidered the Australian wattle motif. the wattle carries symbolic meaninf representing new beginnings, hope and renewal.

A precious gift.
